We’ve had the privilege of partnering with a variety of retailers in and around Norman, OK, and one standout collaboration has been with Donate a Miracle, a beloved local thrift shop in the heart of Norman. When we began working together, Donate a Miracle had clear objectives: increase in-store sales, grow their social media presence, and foster deeper engagement with their loyal customer base.
To achieve these goals, we focused on creating captivating social media content, encouraging more frequent visits from customers, and enhancing the overall shopping experience. Throughout 2024, our partnership resulted in a series of exciting events that helped elevate the store’s visibility and sales. Notable events included their 12-year anniversary celebration, exclusive bargain flash sales, and more.
Key to the success of these events was our comprehensive social media strategy. We developed a mix of high-quality photos and videos showcasing featured in-store items, ran targeted ads on Facebook and Instagram, cross-posted to local group pages, and created event-specific pages—all while maintaining a consistent posting schedule leading up to each event.
As a result, Donate a Miracle experienced a remarkable 35% increase in profits compared to the previous year, and their Facebook following grew by 1,500 new followers. Below, you can check out some of the advertisements that helped drive these results.
Awareness Ad 1 – April 24-29, 2024
We had only a $15 budget for this ad. Our goal was to bring awareness to age 21-35 year old women who enjoyed shopping, living in Norman and the surrounding areas.

After running this ad, we did see an increase of younger women shopping in-stores.


12 Year Anniversary Event Ad – May 14-19, 2024
This was an Event advertisement we ran on Facebook with a budget of $20. The goal of this advertisement was to get event responses. We also posted a series of other posts inviting people to bring their family and friends for a fun thrifting day. Vendors were also invited out for the day so customers could support a variety of local business.

This event had an amazing turn out, being one of the leading profit days for the shop last year.
Fall Sale Awareness Ad 2 – October 24-26, 2024
This was a short and sweet ad with a budget of $25. Our goal was to bring awareness to an upcoming sale but on short notice so it wouldn’t decrease foot traffic in-store before the event. We also cross-posted into multiple community groups and more.

Once again, another leading weekend in profits. This showed that even on short notice, we would still have a great turnout for the event. Plus, we also had several vendors sign up to attend within the 3 days that we ran the ad.

Traffic Ad 1 – November 11-16, 2024
Donate a Miracle decided to host a week-long sale in November. To help bring more customers in we decided to run an advertisement targeting veterans and family members of veterans because they would get an extra discount during the sale. Our goal for this ad was to get them to click a link to get directions to the store. We had a $50 budget for the week.

Throughout the week, there were a number of brand new customers in-store, many of them being veterans. Customers were asked at checkout how they heard of the sale and over half said they had seen it on Facebook. This advertisement brought a lot of those people in.
Traffic Ad 2 – December 2-7, 2024
This sale had 2 goals in mind; to clear out inventory at the store and still make a decent profit off of it. This sale was unique because customers were able to bring a bag of any size and fill it entirely full for only $10 a bag. Customers brought trash bags, Christmas tree bags, and so much more. We ran the sale and the advertisement for a week with a budget of $50. Similarly to the last ad, our goal was for people to click a link to receive directions to the store.

This was one of the best event turnouts we had the entire year. A line of customers were waiting outside the door at opening time, ready to get inside and start shopping. This was another huge profit day for the store and one of our biggest successes in 2024. On top of the advertisement, we also created an event page and posted about the event across multiple platforms including Instagram and TikTok.
